Default Ranger/Mes or Mes/Ranger

I'm just wondering which is more useful for interrupting? I supose the question is, does ranger/mes have more survivability ( better armor) vs mes/ranger with better faster interrupts (fast casting) weaker armor.

Interrupts have such short casting times that Fast Casting really doesn't help. If you care about survivability and interrupt potential, I'd go with Ranger/Mes every time.

Which runes do you think you will need ? You can only insert runes for your primary class in your armour (afaik) and the headgear is certainly primary specific.

Other than that, it's an armour versus mana pool/regen thingy. Both of the primary associated skills seem pretty weak to me.

I think there is little difference between R/Me and Me/R as far as defense is concerned, however being Me/R tends to get you killed faster because for various reasons (warriors especially) like to go after mesmers. You will have a bit more energy to work with and faster energy regen I believe as a Me/R but you lose out on some defense. I think they're almost equally good. Like one of the previous posters said, interrupting certain classes is quite tricky because of rather quick cast times such as many healing skills of a monk.
